Recap of Previous Season
Castlevania Nocturne Season 1 followed Richter Belmont, a vampire hunter who inherited the Vampire Killer whip from his ancestor Trevor Belmont. Richter was summoned by the French Revolutionaries to help them overthrow the tyrannical King Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette, who were secretly vampires. Richter discovered that the king and queen were working for Erzsebet, a powerful vampire who claimed to be the reincarnation of Dracula’s wife Lisa Tepes.
Erzsebet planned to use the chaos of the revolution to gather the blood of the innocent and the guilty, and use it to revive Dracula and usher in a new age of darkness. Richter teamed up with other vampire hunters, such as Simon Belmont, Sonia Belmont, Juste Belmont, and Leon Belmont, who were also descendants of Trevor Belmont.
