Puteri Sarah Liyana clarifies relationship status with Andi Arsyil Rahman
Malaysian actress Puteri Sarah Liyana has denied being in a romantic relationship with Indonesian actor and entrepreneur Andi Arsyil Rahman. She said that he is only her business partner and close friend.
The rumours about Puteri Sarah, 37, and Andi, 36, started circulating on September 4, when she posted a photo of a man’s hands on her Instagram Story. Many netizens speculated that the man was Andi, who is also a singer, a writer, a motivator, and a philanthropist.
However, Puteri Sarah told mStar – The Star’s Malay language news portal – that the photo was taken during a business trip to Jakarta, where she met him to discuss their common interests in skincare and tudung products. She said that she was accompanied by her manager and her children, Syaikhul Islam, six, and Sumayyah, four, during the trip.
“I went to Jakarta for a shoot but it was postponed due to a few complications. In the meantime, I was focused on my business. (Andi) is an actor and he’s currently focusing on his business. Coincidentally, we share common interests such as running a skincare and tudung business,” she said.
She also clarified that Andi is just a close friend and business partner and that there is nothing more between them. She said that she is not ready to be in a new relationship after finalizing her divorce from local director Syamsul Yusof on June 14.
