One of the prestigious awards of Tamil Nadu named the Kalaimamani Award which is given by the Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram was announced on February 19, 2021.
People who excel in the field of art and literature are honored with this award. Chitra Visweswaran (Indian Dancer) is the secretary of Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Manram appointed by the government of Tamil Nadu.
On the other side, Deva who is an Indian film music director serves as its chairman. According to the statement released by the state government, the artists who provide their immense contribution in the field of Tamil cinema are praised with Kalaimamani Award.
Legendary actress Saroja Devi bagged one of the awards alongwith Sangeetha, Aishwarya, Selagar Janaki, and Devadarshini.
Some of the South Indian actors such as Ramarajan, Yogibabu, and Sivakarthikeyan received this valuable award. D. Iman and Dina who are music composers also won Kalaimamani Award.
In the category of film directors then Manoj Kumar, Gautam Vasudev Menon, and Ravi Maria received this recognition. During the event, playback singers Anandu and Sujatha Mohan were declared winners.
Kamakkodiyan and Kadhal Mathi who are talented songwriters also bagged Kalaimamani Award. Moreover, South Indian choreographers such as Sridhar, Sivashankar, Jaguar Gold (martial arts coach), and Dinesh won this honor.
Talented movie editors named Anthony and Melody Gomakan also achieved awards in their category. Ishri Ganesh and Kalaipuli S (Indian Film Producers) were seen getting this honor for their contribution to the Tamil film industry.
