According to the official reports, this movie will be the sequel to ‘Jigarthanda (2014)’ film, which was a blockbuster project of Karthik. Initially, makers announced the movie with the title ‘Jigarthanda 2’ but later renamed it ‘Jigarthanda Double X’ because it has double action and entertainment.

As everyone knows that ‘Jigarthanda (2014)’ showed that an aspiring filmmaker wants to make a violent gangster film and targets a ruthless gangster for the same. For his actions, he had to go through many problems. Talking about ‘Jigarthanda Double X’, the makers cleared that it will not be a proper sequel but will follow a completely different storyline.
Director Karthik Subbaraj revealed in an interview that he gets the idea to make ‘Jigarthanda 2’ just after he made ‘Iraivi’ movie and he began working on his thoughts to build a completely different film. The makers assured the public that the sequel will be as interesting as first part.

Release Date, Songs and Production
The teaser of the film got released on 11 December 2022 on the ‘Think Music India’ YouTube channel. The teaser received more than 7.6 million views within 5 days of uploading it. It is produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Kathiresan. It is produced under the production company of Stone Bench Films. According to the sources, the movie ‘Jigarthanda Double X’ will release in 2023 in the theatres.
The editorial part is done by Shafique Mohamed Ali and the cinematography is handled by S Tirru. The movie also includes a lot of hit songs and the music department is managed by Santhosh Narayanan. The lead entertainers of the film are Raghava Lawrence, SJ Suryah, Nimisha Sajayan, and many more.
