Political Career
Dilawar’s political career began in the early 1980s, when he joined the Janata Party, a regional party that was formed after the Emergency. His luck changed in 2018, when he was elected as an MLA for the first time, representing the Ramganj Mandi constituency. He won this election by a margin of 12,879 votes, defeating Chandrakanta Meghwal, the incumbent MLA from the Congress party. He became a prominent leader of the BJP in the state, and was appointed as the General Secretary of the party’s Rajasthan unit.
