Tirath Singh Rawat Elected as New Chief Minister Of Uttarakhand by BJP after Trivendra Singh Rawat’s Resignation

After the resignation of Trivendra Singh Rawat from the post of Uttarakhand’s CM, Tirath Singh Rawat is elected to be the next chief minister of the state. It is confirmed by many sources that Tirath Singh Rawat is going to be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
On March 09, 2021, Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned amid a political crisis. The new confirmation came that Tirath Singh Rawat has been decided to be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on the morning of March 10, 2021. As per the source, the swearing ceremony is going to be happening at 4 pm on the same day.
Tirath Singh Rawat will become the new CM of Uttarakhand shortly this evening. The decision has been made after the meeting took place in order to decide who’s going to be the chief minister. There were few front runners in the fray few contenders came up the names were being decided.
And now in the confirmation has just come in that Tirath Singh Rawat is soon to be called the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand after that political crisis that we ended up seeing. Trivendra Singh Rawat stepped down on Tuesday. This decision was made after days and days of speculation about a power change in Uttarakhand.
Tirath Singh Rawat will be Chief Minister for Uttrakhand and of course for less than 300 days. He has got to govern and to leave the state.
There were several MPs from Uttrakhand who were present in the legislative part in Dehradun on Wednesday. The meeting took place at the party office which is located on Balbir Road at around 10 am. Many crucial members of the party were there when the name was proposed.
And again, this was really surprising and the names of Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ were quoting. In fact, Dhan Singh Rawat was also floating. Then Satpal Maharaj’s name popped up. But clearly, the BJP put Tirath Singh Rawat as the name but is it going to be the acceptance amongst the leader?
This particular decision has come in Tirath, who is the Lok Sabha MP from Garhwal parliamentary constituency. He was the BJP national secretary and the party chief of BJP Uttrakhand as well. From Feb 2013 to Dec 2015, Tirath served as BJP’s state party chief. He’s also a former member of the Uttrakhand Legislative Assembly.
The name of Tirath Singh Rawat coming to lead the state unit may not be surprised really for the people. However, it could be surprised within the party as well as there were several stakeholders that Satpal Maharaj and Nishank were the front contenders when the party begins.
Earlier, it was estimated and anticipated that perhaps it would be the Nishank who will be named as chief minister and then probably that will be announced in the legislative party need, but giving surprises and as we know that any decision has been taken by BJP last several years be the state or center has clearly been the so much secrecy.
