Chad Doerman: A Troubled Son
Chad, 32, is the son of Gloria and Keith Doerman and the father of the three boys he killed. He is a former employee of the Clermont County Engineer’s Office and a resident of Monroe Township, Ohio. He is currently in custody at the Clermont County Jail, facing nine counts of aggravated murder, eight counts of kidnapping, and four counts of felonious assault.
Chad Doerman admitted to shooting his sons, aged 7, 4, and 3, with a .22-caliber rifle on June 15, 2023, at their home. He also injured his wife, who tried to save the boys, and held his stepdaughter at gunpoint, but she escaped. He then sat on the porch with the rifle next to him until the police arrived and arrested him.
Doerman told the police that he had been planning to kill his sons for months and that he had not slept for days before the murders.
