Earlier this 1899 Netflix series production house announced that Mr. Jantje has begun the development of a new project for Netflix after completing a high-value deal with the authorities. In 2020 script of the series got completed. The script was developed based on the European migrant crisis and Brexit.
In the same year, the complete casting of the movie was announced. Right now the lead role is played by Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Andreas Pietschmann and Miguel Bernardeau, Maciej Musial, and many others.
When all the cast of the movie was finalized production of the series commenced on November 24, 2020. In 2021 maximum filming of the series was completed.
