Aris Hampers (born on May 4, 1949, age: 73 years when died) was a radio legend, singer, and favorite American personality. He was known for last working On Air at WMAX-FM (Radio X”). He was a radio star and a Radio DJ who worked throughout his life as a Radio presenter.
He has also been a music director and a band member when he was working as a legendary Radio artist. He was titled as a man who brought Grand Rapids rock-and-roll on WLAV. But sadly this legend is now no more among us. He died on 5th February 2023. His death news was shared by his friend and local music legend John Sinkevics of Local Spins. Aris Hampers has left behind his Facebook profile where he was quite active and posted a lot about his life. He was a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan where he was rejuvenated on May 4, 1949. Living his life in Grand Rapids he grew up a passionate music lover. He was a kid when he began learning music. He began tapping on the beats of the ’50s and ’60s music.
Aris Hamper’s musical talent was gifted to him by god. He learned Piano, Organ, and other instruments very swiftly at a young age. He began composing music when he was a school student. He ended his schooling at Ottawa Hills High School in 1967.

What was the Major Cause of the Aris Hampers Death?
The Radio legend who had a great voice for radio died on 5th February 2023. His knowledge of Music was immense.
Back in 2019, he shared with his family and fans that he has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his windpipe. After it, he went under emergency surgery which was quite expensive. Cancer was removed from his windpipe but it took 14 days and two surgeries for doctors to end it. Doctors at that time guaranteed him that Cancer will never return back in his Body. But after a couple of years, Cancer returned and began affecting his body.
When he died it was not disclosed whether Cancer was the main reason for his death or not but all we know is that this legend is now no more among us.
Career, Radio Shows & Jobs
Aris Hampers began working at WVIC-FM in 1971 where he continued his journey as a Radio artist for one year. He then became a part of the WLAV-Fm in 1973 where he worked till 1981. In 1981 he got a good proposal from WFFX-Fm to join as Music Director. He performed as a Music Director for one year at WFFX-FM.
After it, from 1982-1984 Aris Hampers became a part of the WCUZ-FM. He always loved to work for Radio channels. Due to this he was in 1984 again joined WLAV-Fm but this time as Music Director till 1990.
For the next 8 years that is from 1990 to 1998, he became a part of the WKLQ-FM. He earlier shared that his experience of 7 years from 2000-2007 at WBFX-FM was the best one. Aris last worked at WMAX-FM (‘Radio X’) from 2008 to 2009. After he dropped working as a Radio DJ and got involved in other jobs.
Retired, after 37 years of on-air Rock Radio. I loved all of it until Corporate mind-thinking changed it beyond repair.
