Dre was born to an Afro-American family to his parents named Vonya Sylvester (Step-Mother) and Vincent Davis Sr. (father). Reportedly his father died after he got shot by gunmen at 6600 block of South Michigan Avenue on July 25, 2016. Sources claim that his father was a gangster.

They openly fired at close range and the rapper was brutally injured with 64 wounds. Soon after his body was immediately taken to the Mt. Sinai Hospital, although he was pronounced Dead. According to the reports, the famous rapper was in jail for violating the conditions of his release on a 2020 gun charge.
Along with KTS, two other women were also got injured, who were innocent. One of them was a 60-year-old lady, who got shot in the knee and was taken to the same hospital. She is fine and got only one wound, which will be cure soon.
The other lady, who is said to be 35 years old and was standing close to the rapper. The woman got a serious wound to her mouth and expected to be survived. Although, there is no arrest made even after 5 days of his death. The investigation on this case is still going on, and Cops indicated that the rapper’s connections to a bad street gang of Chicago may be the reason for his murder.
