Michael Latt (born 22 February 1990 – died 27 November 2023, Aged: 33 years old) was a social justice advocate, film marketing consultant, and the founder and CEO of Lead With Love, a social impact marketing agency. He was shot and killed by a homeless intruder at his home in Los Angeles on November 27, 2023. He was 33 years old.

He was the son of Michelle Satter, the founding director of the Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program, and the brother of Franklin Latt, a talent agent at CAA. Latt started his career as a film marketing consultant, working with various studios and filmmakers to promote their projects. He worked closely with Ryan Coogler, the director of Black Panther and Creed, and Common, the rapper and actor, on several social justice campaigns, such as Blackout for Human Rights, a network of artists and activists that addressed human rights violations in the U.S., and Imagine Justice, a movement that advocated for criminal justice reform and education equity.
In 2018, Latt founded Lead With Love, a social impact marketing agency that aimed to shift culture from fear to love. What Happened on November 27, 2023?
Michael Latt was tragically killed on November 27, 2023, at the age of 33, by a woman who had been stalking and threatening his wife, A.V. Rockwell. The woman, identified as Jameelah Elena Michl, 36, had worked as an extra in one of Rockwell’s films, “A Thousand And One”, and had developed an obsession with the director.
She had sent Rockwell several letters and messages, expressing her desire for a personal relationship and threatening to harm herself or others if she was rejected. Rockwell had filed a restraining order against Michl, but that did not stop her from pursuing her. On the night of the incident, Michl knocked on Latt’s door and forced herself inside once it was opened.
