She was in Bal Bharti till her 8th standard and after completing her 8th she shifted to Delhi with her family and continued studies in Queens Valley School, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Along completing her college education Akansha first appeared in the FBB Femina Miss Indian Delhi bikini Shoot when she was only 18 years old and stunned the media with her looks.
Later becoming a part of the glamour industry she was listed as the top 5 contestants of the second season of the talent hunt show India’s Next Top Model. It was this after which the actual journey of Akanksha started she then started appearing in the songs and videos.
